Warriror Girls empowerment series at the Stevens Coolidge Estate in North Andover

THIS IS SOLD OUT - This 4 week, girls only, empowerment yoga series is meant to inspire a strong sense of being, both mentally and physically. A gentle vinyasa flow will get muscles moving, focus minds, and deliver an immediate sense of well being. The second half of class explores the weekly empowerment topic: Self Confidence; Positive Self-Talk; Self Compassion; Mindfulness/Gratitude. Topics are then practiced through creative activities such as writing letters to self, painting inspirational mottos, character trait puzzles, and personal gratitude journals. The class will be challenged with giggle-worthy partner poses, team building games, and opportunities for students to be the teacher.

Families with school-aged children are invited to join The Trustees in the great outdoors on this 2 mile hike at Ward Reservation.

Come hike at Ward Reservation with The Trustees. Families with school-aged children are invited to join The Trustees in the great outdoors on this 2 mile hike at Ward Reservation. This guided hike on the property's Yellow and Blue Trails will offer scenic vistas of Boston and the unusual solstice stones arrangement at the top of Holt Hill, as well as a bog habitat and carnivorous plants!

Wingmasters demonstrate live birds of prey of various specious in Massachusetts

Join the specialists of Wingmasters for a live birds of prey demonstration in The Stevens-Coolidge Place gardens. Birds of prey are also known as raptors, and they are hunting birds characterized by hooked beaks and powerful grabbing feet armed with sharp talons (the word raptor comes from a Latin word that means "to seize"). Raptors can also boast the best eyesight and the sharpest hearing in the animal kingdom. Raptors include hawks, falcons and owls, and this presentation, which incorporates 8 live birds of prey gives an overview of these different categories.

Kids will learn about monarch butterflies at the Stevens-Coolidge Estate in North Andover!

You spent the summer watching them flit about your gardens, now it’s time to wish them well on their trip down to Mexico – it’s the Monarch Migration Celebration at Stevens-Coolidge Place! This celebration will kick off with a children’s pollinator parade around the property (costumes encouraged!) bringing all visitors to an afternoon of demos, crafts & stories, seed bomb making and gardening tips to bring these orange friends to your yard in the spring.

Flower Crown Making

Come to the Stevens-Coolidge Estate to learn how to make flower crowns with flowers picked from the gardens!

Join the The Trustees of Reservations at the Stevens-Coolidge Estate, cut your own flowers at our Flower Fields Cutting Garden and then use them to create a beautiful flower crown. We will have all the supplies and instructions you need to learn how to make a beautiful floral crown of your own design. Participants of all ages and genders encouraged to attend! Leave feeling fabulous and with the skills to craft future headpieces from your own garden blooms.

Invertebrates of the Field and Forest

Families will learn about invertabrates of the North Shore with North Shore Nature Programs

North Shore Nature Programs is happy to be participating in our first ever Trails and Sails event! Join experienced naturalists Andrew and Dan on a guided hike through Camp Denison’s fields and forests. Your family can expect to see katydids, dragonfly’s, centipedes, millipedes, and sow bugs! Each family will have the opportunity to touch and hold as many invertebrates as they please! You will also learn about the amazing adaptations these creatures require to live in the wild.

Fall in New England is a magical time! Get outside with The Trustees of Reservations this year and enjoy the season. This year’s Fall Foliage Celebration will take place at three Trustees properties in the Andover area – guided hikes to scenic vistas and unusual habitats at Ward Reservation and Weir Hill; pumpkin hunt, flower maze and historic home & garden tours at The Stevens-Coolidge Place. Your ticket to today’s festivities include all three properties! Food and drink vendors at Stevens-Coolidge.

Pick Your Own Bouquet at the Trustees of Reservations Stevens-Coolidge Place

In addition to pick-your-own favorites like zinnias, cosmos and rudbeckia, visitors will find new varieties to add pop and flair to their bouquets. The garden is fun for all ages and there is always something new to learn! Please note there is a fee to cut flowers and picking is only available at the Cutting Garden during PYO hours.
