If you find yourself with some time off this Indigenous Peoples' Day, we invite you to pack a picnic and head to The Stevens-Coolidge Place for a day of free outdoor family fun! Play lawn games and go on a Fall nature-based scavenger hunt and explore the beautiful grounds. Relax by enjoying story times about the season on this special day.
When visiting The Stevens-Coolidge Place we often focus on traveling back to the 1920s, but today we're going way back! Back to the farming history of the property to celebrate keeping the traditions of the past alive! We've invited all our local farming, historical and creative friends, so if you've got a can-do attitude we want you to come celebrate the fall season with some good old-fashioned family fun at this once working farm turned gentleman's country estate. Home & Garden tours running throughout the day.
The Great House at Castle Hill is open for tours on Columbus Day. Grab the family and take the Guest of the Cranes tour on the hour and our roof tour, Cupola with a View, at 11:30 AM and 1:30PM. Unique gifts and food options are available at our gift shop and Grab and Go cafe with 10% off for Trustees members. Last tour of the day is at 3PM.
Enjoy free admission and special events at the MFA’s annual Fall Open House—and the Fenway Alliance’s 17th annual Opening Our Doors Day. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, dance alongside MetaMovements and Silent Rhythms, catch Sociedad Latina’s performance, and join visiting artist Natalia Arbelaez for a talk. Enjoy art-making activities, spotlight talks, and tours.
