The Trustees of Reservations invite you to bring the whole family to Ravenswood Park for an introduction to Vernal Pools featuring live animals and a presentation by the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team. Meet salamanders and frogs that live on the North Shore and get a rare close-up view of these animals. Learn their natural history and behaviors then journey with a guide into the park for a night-time walk.

Miss Lisa of the Joppa Flats Education Center visits Amesbury Public Library each month for a 1 hour program focused on pre-schoolers! Participants will be engaged, excited, and learning about all kinds of things in nature. Each program is an hour long and includes hands-on activities, group role play, and fun take homes. Owls are fascinating birds that are well adapted to their night existence. Come learn about these creatures of our surrounding woods and learn how to call for an owl! There will be a short presentation about owls in our area, followed by an owl hooting experience; then a walk in search for them.
Dani Christopher, the ECGA Land Stewardship Coordinator, will give a presentation on ECGA's work with breeding ospreys in Essex County. We will hear about the famous osprey family on the platform near Farnham's in Essex, and learn about the citizen science project mapping ospreys and their nesting activity throughout the county.
