Do fishers really fish? Why do some people call them fisher "cats"? Find answers to these questions and more as we take a look into the life of this crafty predator. We will begin our program by observing a fisher mount and learning about its life history. Then we'll hit the trails in search of fisher signs. Once we find a trail, we'll follow it to see if we can find a fisher food cache or perhaps a fisher itself!
Manchester Public Library invites young adults to a Weapons demonstration by Gaurd Up! Family Swordsmanship Inc. On Manchester's “half-day", kids will learn about sword history and techniques from medieval times through live demonstrations. Family Swordsmanship will share replicas of German long swords, Japanese swords, daggers and short swords. Participants will get to practice these sword fighting techniques against the Guard Up! staff using safe, practice swords.
The Gloucester Area Astronomy Club invites you to a presentation on the benefits of taking up astronomy! Come learn about the telescopes, how to use them and where to buy them. This presentation is geared toward the general public and is meant to be an orientation for first time astronomers or people who want to up their game.
Animal teeth and bones can tell us a lot about how the animal moved, how intelligent is was and even what kind of food they ate. At this family adventure, we’ll take a close-up look at the skulls and bones of animals to discover what kind of life the animal led and what made up its diet!
Please join us for the "Night Sky" as the Museum of Science brings their inflatable planetarium to City Hall.
