Celebrate Harvest Season at the Sargent House Museum! Come with friends and family to discover some of Gloucester's History through art and community, enjoy seasonal foods and cider with old friends and new during open hours. Tour this historic landmark, one of Gloucester's firts grand homes featuring the beautiful craftsmanship, architecture and style of an era long gone by. You'll also hear a bit of the inspiring story of the original owner, women's rights advocate Judith Sargent Murray (1751-1820).

Join us for an open house featuring all our program offerings for preschool age children! The Whale Mobile will be on hand (giant inflatable whale with educational presentation about whales in our New England waters) plus we'll play sports games, get creative with an art project and dramatic play, and even learn about water safety. The event is free to the community.
If you are expecting, or are considering starting a family, Anna Jaques Hospital invites you to a Birth Center Open House and Tour. By attending, you are able to meet the obstetricians, gynecologists, certified nurse midwives, maternity nurses, pediatricians, neonatologists and family practice physicians who are available to take care of you during your pregnancy and after your baby is born.
All are invited to the Northeastern University Marine Science Center Annual Open House! You'll learn from researchers about marine habitats, meet some of creatures living there and explore the habitat in real time. In addition to some faithful standards such as touch tanks and tours of East Point, the Center will be showcasing the work and talent of its research labs and academic programs. With a half dozen new faculty members in the past year, there’s a lot more to explore!

It has been many years since Cape Ann operated an active Sea Scout group for youth, and Maritime Gloucester is proud to announce that it is starting a new Sea Scout “Ship” effective immediately.The program is a national co-ed outdoor program for young adults ages 14 to 20 that promotes knowledge of our nation’s maritime heritage and provides young people with positive opportunities through hands-on maritime education, training and experiences.

During this FREE day of events and activities you can take a self-guided tour of the Great House, enjoy lawn games along the rolling Grand Allée, go on a family-friendly treasure hunt, join a may-pole dance, find out what SummerQuest camp is all about, and get the low down on becoming a Trustees volunteer!
