Cape Ann Symphony | Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns, and Beethoven

Cellist Owen Young will be the featured soloist in Saint-Saëns' Cello Concerto No. 1. He is an audience favorite and always brings his incredible artistry and personal charm to his performances. Also on the program, Mendelssohn's musical description of the Hebrides and Beethoven's beautiful Symphony No. 4.

Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras Winter Concerts in Ipswich

Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras presents An Afternoon of Winter Concerts at the Dolan Performing Arts Center at Ipswich High School in Ipswich, MA. The 2 pm concert features the NMYO Prelude and Overture String Ensembles and Intermezzo Orchestra. The 4:00 pm concert features NMYO’s advanced ensembles: the Select Flute Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra.

The Aidan Scrimgeour Trio will bring to life and perform a LIVE version of the Vince Guaraldi holiday masterpiece (John's favorite!).  This year they will be joined by members of the HW Elementary School Chorus!  The event is FREE, although we kindly encourage attendees to make a suggested donation of $25 to support The Musary. The Cape Ann Symphony Chorus now under the direction of Brittany Betts will join the orchestra for a Holiday Pops series for the whole family. The ever popular audience sing-along concludes the performance.
