The TOHP Burnham Public Library invites children, ages 5 and older, to join Karen Bell of "Something Extra Flowers" as she guides participants in the sweet and nostalgic tradition of creating May Day Baskets. Our baskets will actually be mini Mason jars full of fresh flowers and once finished, children & their adults will walk as a group to Chebacco Terrace to secretly drop off their "baskets" to local senior citizens by dropping them at their doorstep-just as children would have done 100 years ago!
These tours are free and open to the public, registration is recommended. Every last Saturday, enjoy a family friendly tour of the Museum’s collection. Each month visitors will explore a small selection of artworks and objects through interactive storytelling and engagement.
Discover one of Gloucester's most vital ecosystems - the salt marsh. Learn about all of the wildlife that depend on it for survival, and investigate its importance for coastal communities. Get up close with some salt marsh flora and fauna, and play a game to learn more about what it take. For kids ages 6-10.
The Pysanky For Peace Project is excited to announce our first exhibition of pysanky and messages to Ukraine! Join the Wenham Museum in Wenham, MA on April 16th for the opening of the exhibit. All donations accepted throughout the exhibition which runs through mid-June will be given to RAZOM for Ukraine.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), hosts its fifth annual ASL day, a celebration of Deaf culture welcoming members of the Deaf community and friends. Coinciding with National Deaf History Month, the program includes American Sign Language tours, performances by DEAFinitely Dance, art-making kits and more. The day's activities are presented in partnership with Boston Deaf Night Out (DNO) and Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Each participant will receive a mini wooden box to decoupage with paper/magazines/comics/newspaper...even book pages-however you like! Spaces are limited-sign up early!
A Drop-In Craft program held once a month on a Thursday afternoon (check the online calendar or pick up a calendar in the Children’s Room). Intended for school age children with intricate and challenging crafts. Each child under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver to actively assist with the craft. Programs are under the Event Tent on the lawn of the library. Inclement weather may require the programs to be held inside in the Collins Room.
The NTL's own Kati Bourque will present a brief history on Ukrainian Easter Eggs and teach you how to create your own egg. All materials will be provided and you will go home with an egg that you made! This program is geared towards teens and adults, as you will be handling a raw egg, a lit candle, and permanent dyes. Let's explore the woods, the salt marsh, and the streams to look for creatures like birds, fish, frogs, and more while we learn, play, and explore. We'll use our "science eyes" and "nature ears" and discover wildife together!
