Endicott Park's Erika Moretti presents a fascinating Animal Skull Identification program for kids! Budding scientists and nature lovers will really enjoy this presentation! Kids will get to see and touch real skulls from animals and will learn how to identify the animal based off the size and shape of the skull and certain key features. The skulls are all native mammals, but they'll see a bird and reptile skull for comparison. The lesson is very interactive, with lots of audience participation!

Thousands of birders visit the rugged coast of Cape Ann and scan the adjacent waters hoping to spot some of the unusual and highly sought-after seabirds that spend the winter months just offshore. The best way to get to see these birds and experience them up close is to visit them in their natural habitat- on the ocean!

No experience necessary! Build hand strength and dexterity which will support fine motor skills. Participants will receive knitting needles and yarn to keep. Miss Lisa invites you to join her for some family-friendly seasonal nature walks in the area. Together we will explore the salt marsh, the woods, and more. We will look for birds, mammals, and of course, mushrooms! We'll use our "science eyes" and "nature ears" and learn, play, and discover together. Some mammals build up fat, make winter homes, and sleep all winter. Let's find out who these animals are, and with games and experiments, learn all about hibernation!

Follow along step-by-step to create a magical star-filled night sky with silhouettes of a hillside and trees. It's amazing what you can create with four colors and some simple brush techniques! This event is appropriate for beginner painters ages 8-18.
Create friendship bracelets with youth expert June B.! June has been making bracelets for years, and sharing the craft with family and friends is one of her favorite activities! After teaching her 8-year-old brother how to make bracelets last summer, then attending a fall craft night at the Manchester-by-the-Sea library, she thought it would be fun to offer this class to the youth community. The library will supply the materials and snacks so bring yourself and some friends. Registration is required.
