NEF American Music Festival
The Newburyport Education Foundation hosts the Summertime Family Music Festival at Spencer Peirce Little Farm. Enjoy music, vintage baseball, and farm activites featuring decades of American music.This festival celebrates everything from traditional songs to bluegrass, funk, folk, and beyond. Come for the music and stay for the whole day: Watch Vintage Base Ball played by 1861 rules. See tractors and farm equipment spanning the last eighty years. Try your hand and win prizes at corn husking.
Sharpie Tie Dye Night
The TOHP Burnham Public Library invites teens and tweens to come make their own tie dyes using Shapies! Spaces are limited so sign up early. Bring yout own plain white t-shirt an the library will provide the rest of the materials!
Hayrides with Santa at Green Meadows Farm
You do not have access to view this node invites families to join Santa on a wagon ride through the woods and over the fields! Craft-making for kids, live music and Chef Alice will be cooking up pizza and grilled cheeses. Of course our farmstand is open and, as always, features holiday decor, gifts, gourmet condiments and our own produce, meats and prepared meals. Free and Open to the Public.
Pumpkin & Mask Decorating at Artists’ Row
Join the artists on Artists’ Row for Salem Mayor's Night Out and a free fun activity: Tap into your creative spirit and decorate a Halloween mask or a wooden pumpkin round. All materials are provided but first come, first serve and one per child. This event is brought to you by the City of Salem Public Space Initiative, Artists of Artists’ Row, Salem Main Streets and Creative Salem.

Farm Inspired Crafts and Cocoa for Kids
Join us in the farmhouse for a craft making party! Leave your hat and mittens at the door and come get creative with our Farm Educator. While the farm animals are hunkered down and the wild animals are hibernating, we will use the winter landscape as our inspiration. Hot chocolate will be available in the farm kitchen throughout the program. Drop in between 9:30am-11am. Your crafting fun will take around 30 minutes so plan as you need for your schedule.
Bowl Painting at Essex Shipbuilding Museum
The Open Door invites you to bowl painting session at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum! Bring the kids to come paint bowls for the annual Open Door Empty Bowl Circus in May where painted bowls will be auctioned off to the highest bidder!
Bald Eagles and Bagels
The bald eagles are back along the Merrimack River, and we know where to find them! Join us at Joppa Flats, where we'll kick things off with some bagels and cream cheese while we learn about eagles and other birds of prey before we hit the road. We'll use recent sightings from our bird observation log, pass out binoculars and radios, and caravan out to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Deer Island, and Salisbury Beach State Reservation to seek out these majestic birds.
Halloween Decorating Workshop
Join the artists on Artists’ Row for Salem Mayor's Night Out and a free fun activity: Tap into your creative spirit one of several Halloween inspired works of art such as, miniature witch brooms, pumpkins, ghosts, goblins, vampires or Frankensteins from the materials provided! Keep what you make and be creative using paints, scrap wood, branches and more!
