Have you considered Berwick Academy for your rising 4th grader? Learn more about our dynamic fourth grade program during an informal parent event on Friday, May 20 at 8 a.m. Experience our PK-4 Community Meeting followed by a parent coffee with our Lower School Director, fourth grade teachers, and current parents. This is a great opportunity to learn more in a casual setting and hear from our current parents about why they chose Berwick. Following the coffee parents are invited to sit in on a fourth grade class for a more in depth look at our program.

Tuition assistance is still available for fourth grade applicants. Please inquire for more information.

Family Terrarium Workshop at PEM

Peabody Essex Museum hosts a free terrarium workshop for Trails and Sails 2016!

Get your hands dirty while learning about plants and mini habitats in this terrarium workshop. A member of the Niche Urban Garden Supply team will be on hand to guide you through the process as you design a one-of-a-kind terrarium to take home. Come early or stay late to enjoy the exhibition Sizing it Up: Scale in Nature and Art, where you can also check out Vaughn Bell’s mega-terrarium -- Metropolis before the exhibition closes on September 19th.

MIT's Open House is a chance to see some of the amazing things going on at MIT Museum in Cambridge Massachusetts! 

On the public tour of MIT, tourists and locals will learn about the recent tech boom in the area as well as MIT’s history and culture while visiting the main MIT campus, tour inside several buildings and experience the surrounding Kendall Square area in the 70-minute walking tour.

Come cool off at Ipswich Public Library with family and friends! Enjoy Family Movie Night at the library!  The movie begins at 6 p.m. and ends before 8 p.m., when the library closes.Children are encouraged to bring friends! Youngsters 8 and older may attend independently. Younger children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Movies are chosen to appeal to children ages 8 and up, so parents should determine if the movie is appropriate for younger children.

Museum of Science presents Science Magic

Science Magic presented by Museum of Science at Danver Public Library!

In this fun program, kids will explore how magic tricks really work. This program investigates the science behind the “magic” of several classic magic tricks. You might learn how to snatch a tablecloth without disturbing the items on top, make a balloon fireproof, and use electromagnetism to defy gravity. For the grand finale, our educator demonstrates how science can make it safe to lie down on a real bed of nails.

See first hand 300-pound block ice being made (up to 350 tons per day), fishing vessels taking on ice and ice sculptures being carved in the historic icehouse on Gloucester's working waterfront.
