GNOCA's 5K Run/Walk in Honor of Jackie Poor & Paula Holm is a 5k Run or Family Friendly Stroll through Scenic Newburyport starting & ending at Michael's Harborside. The Apple Harvest Run is one of the best autumn races in the region; situated in the pastoral town of West Newbury, MA, just 10 minutes from beautiful downtown Newburyport. The race includes a USATF certified 5-mile & 5K and a children’s 1-mile fun run and has become a family fun event for runners and non-runners alike. This year marks the 35th annual Apple Harvest Run in West Newbury, Massachusetts, and 100% of all proceeds benefit the Dr. John C. Page Elementary School.
Team Haverhill’s River Ruckus is an annual city-wide festival celebrating the natural resources and beauty of the Merrimack River and the economic and cultural revitalization of the City of Haverhill, MA. To join the celebration the Haverhill YMCA hosts the River Ruckus 5k.

The Essex County Greenbelt Association is hosting the annual Vineyard Hill Trail Race, featuring both 5k and 10k options. The race takes runners over Vineyard Hill, through sections of Bradley Palmer State Park, along the Bay Circuit Trail, and across Greenbelt's scenic Shaw Field. The trails are mostly wide and rolling, though Vineyard Hill itself adds a challenging element to the course.
