This weekly event lets your child be a “Potion Master”! Reserve your slot at the “Good Witch of Salem” shop to take part in the magic. Each child will create their own “Galaxy Jar” to take home.This workshop is limited to 10 children per time slot.
It’s apple season in New England and we’re honoring this favorite crop in our farm kitchen! We’ll prepare a complete menu including both sweet & savory dishes using apples sourced from local orchards, with recipes such as Apple, Onion, & Cheddar Tart, Brick Chicken with Roasted Apples, Sage, & Cider Pan Gravy, Sweet & Sour Braised Red Cabbage with Apples, Caramel Apple Bread Pudding.
Change is Simple’s Paddle Adventures have been a blast for years and this year we are adding something NEW; adults. Yes, now you can paddle with your child. It is not required but if adults would like to paddle with the child they are signing up, just sign yourself up too! These adventures are packed with fun for all ages and we have all the gear you need thanks to support from Keen Shoes, New Belgium Brewing Co. and Isle Paddleboards. Each adventure will have a different learning focus; from local species and fisheries, to marine plastics, tap water and sea level rise. All made fun by our creative team. Space is limited to ten participants per session. Minimum participation is 5 participants.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, starting at 4:00 PM, everyone is invited to grab a weapon, put a mask on and participate for FREE in one of our Learn to Fence introductory classes. Get En Garde and ready to fall in love with fencing at Olympia Fencing Club!
Hamilton Wenham Youth Soccer is excited to begin providing referee training for our league. The 5-week Town Referee Training program will prepare participants for refereeing intramural games and to be an Assistant Referee in town travel games. Additionally, it will prepare participants for official USSF referee certification. This is a helpful but non-mandatory step to achieving USSF certification for 13 or 14 years olds interested in getting an early start as a referee & provide a new perspective on the game if they are players already.
Gloucester Stage Company invites kids ages 2 and up to Playtime Stories. Playtime Stories offers young children the unique opportunity to experience the fun and magic of live theatre as they watch their favorite books come to life onstage. Following the performance audience members will be invited to join the Playtime Stories Company in fun and interactive workshops relating to the story.

The Firehouse Center for the Arts is offering a week-long April vacation program of voice instruction and choreographed pop and Broadway show tunes ending with a public performance on Fri, April 20. Areas of instruction include the basics of good breath support, posture and vocal production, and performance techniques... all while having fun singing the songs kids love! Kids will be able to bond with friends through song and fulfill their desire to be on stage performing the music they enjoy!
Deb LaFrance of the Gloucester Uechi Karate Academy invites local women to an assault prevention seminar in Manchester-by-the-Sea! This safe, interactive seminar is designed to introduce you to the topic of personal safety. The focus will be on strategies to avoid assault and to explore foundational concepts of self-defense and conditioning. No fitness experience is necessary!
