Peabody Institute Library - Danvers invites kids to an afternoon of building and fun! Activities will include free build, themes and instructional design. All structures will remain on display in the Children’s Room till the following weeks's session
Do YOU have what it takes? Join us over April Vacation on Thursday, April 18 at 11:00am for a variety of 1-minute S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) challenges and compete against the clock for fun prizes! Designed for children ages 5 and up. No registration is necessary.
Vacation week free fun for families! Cape Ann Symphony, along with the Sawyer Free Library, presents Katy and the Big Snow. Enjoy the beloved story by Gloucester's own Virginia Lee Burton read aloud by local actress Heidi Dallin, and set to music for this ensemble performance. Musicians will also introduce children to the various instruments in a mini show and tell. This special show for children and families will be held at Trinity Church, 70 Middle Street. Open to all, no registration needed. Approximate 40 minute program.
The Amesbury Public Library invites kids to come read to a dog at the Library! Gus, a mixed lab and certified reading partner dog, would love to hear you read aloud! This is a great way to practice some early reading skills or give some confidence to reluctant readers. If you have a child who is reading themselves or working on their reading skills, sign up for a 15 minute slot! Gus will be back in the Library every two weeks so you can register for more than one session if you'd like or just for one!
Grab a board and your candy markers and get ready to BINGO! If you've never played BINGO, now is the time to learn, with treats and prizes in the mix. The winner each session will have their name entered into a very stylish hat. Once we have hit the end of our program time, Teen Librarian Katy will draw three names from the hat and all three will be prize winners! This event is free and for Teens only (incoming 6th-12th grade).
Happy April Break! Teens will start vacation week off right with a tasty contest and a chance to win prizes! Come in, get creative, and go home with a yummy creation (or two) and maybe a win a gift card prize. Prizes will be awarded around the theme: "Earth is Home?".
Newbury Town Library invites kids of all ages for some Pokemon fun! Grab your trading cards and come join us for Pokemon Club! Recommended for ages 7+.
Come and build Legos with us at NTL! We have TONS of Legos. Feel free to come and build your own creations, or build off a project that has already been started. We will even put your creation on display! This will be a casual club where all participants can follow whatever direction their engineering intuition takes them, we will not be teaching how to make specific models. Recommended for ages 4+, with siblings always welcome.
