Abbot Public Library will feature the fantasy musical film following the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl's novel. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he eventually became driven to enter the chocolate industry. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl's novel. This movie is suggested for children ages 6 and up.

Participants will cook with Trustees Grown Meat and vegetables from our fields when in season, and other local farmers’ ingredients to create an exciting multi-course meal. One day after the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack, U.S. enhanced defenses with coastal patrols and built a network of watch towers at ocean edges. One tower, completed in 1944, now serves as Halibut Point State Park’s newly renovated Visitor Center! We’ll provide a guided “tower tour/talk” about Halibut’s military history and the then cutting-edge technology.
