Come to Ipswich Evergreen for a concert and bonfire to celebrate community!

Ipswich Evergreen kicks off Friday night with a bonfire and funk rock concert on the green! Like a snow ball rolling down hill, Ipswich Evergreen is growing! The kick off event will be a concert by Gnarly Charley -  Show in the Snow, on the Ipswich Winter Stage outside of the Ipswich Evergreen! Come celebrate community and enjoy a fun time on a Wintery night in Ipswich Massachusetts!

Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary invites you to come learn about NASA's and NOAA's newest weather monitoring system due for launch in 2015! The evening's program will be an introduction to our nation's next generation of geosynchronous environmental satellites, as described by a member of the GOES-R Ground Segment team.

Flower bouquets are priced at $7 for a large size, $3 for a child size. Please visit the garden anytime, but pick-your-own is only available at the hours stated. Nature Journaling Workshop

Journaling combines art, notes and charts to record what you observe

Nature journaling is a tool for making discoveries about nature. It involves drawing, but you don't have to be an artist. It involves writing, labeling, and making notes about what you notice and wonder. Above all, it involves taking a closer look. After a brief orientation and introductory exercises, the class will explore the journaling process along the trails of the sanctuary.

This introductory paddle teaches participants the basics of sea kayaking before setting out to explore what Yankee Magazine called "the best place to kayak in New England."

Bring your young naturalist to the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary for a day of butterfly banding!  The annual migration of eastern monarch butterflies to central Mexico and back is one of the most remarkable events in nature. Cindy Dunn has been tagging monarchs at Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary in Princeton for many years. Join her for an afternoon of tagging monarchs on the sanctuary. Learn about the fascinating life history of these butterflies and find out how you can help monarchs in your own backyard.
