Join us at the Essex Historical Society & Shipbuilding Museum as Susie Talbot guides the group through decorating a 20" wreath. Susie is an extraordinarily talented individual who not only designed, but takes care of our front gardens. Amongst her many talents is decorating Holiday greens.

Do you like to solve puzzles and brain teasers? Are you a local Newbury resident who is interested in learning a little bit more about Newbury’s unique history? Have you ever been accused of witchcraft while living in a 17th-century Puritan New England town? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Newbury Town Library has the perfect opportunity for you!

ECTA is holding its 6th Annual Thanks for the Trails 5k and Kids Fun Run the Saturday after Thanksgiving at Patton Park in Hamilton (November 25, 2023).  The Kids' Run will begin at 9:30AM and the 5k will start at 10AM.  Using a scenic and challenging course and offering great prizes, this will be an event for all!  Super prizes for top finishers, and many other terrific prizes!

Wondering what to do with your family the day after Thanksgiving? Game Night at the Castle, of course!  Join us for a night of tabletop gaming in the Great Hall!  We will have gamer favorites such as: Dixit, Risk, Fluxx, Munchkin, Chess (Lord of the Rings Edition), We Didn't Playtest This At All, Apples to Apples, Settlers of Catan and The Oregon Trail Card Game.

And, we'll have the recently debuted "Hammond Naval Warfare," game of naval strategy designed by our founder, inventor John Hays Hammond Jr! You can be one of the first to ever play it.
