Join The Trustees of Reservations on a bicycle tour of Cape Ann! This family friendly 30 mile ride around Cape Ann will hug the coastal roads filled with beautiful, scenic vistas! From the rocky shores of Halibut Point Reservation in Rockport, we'll circumnavigate the Cape Ann Island out to Coolidge Reservation in Manchester, then return to Halibut Point.

The Whalemobile is coming to Maritime Gloucester! Join whale naturalist Cynde McInnis for a very special Creature of the Week, featuring a life-sized inflatable humpback whale named Nile. Kids will develop an awareness of and fascination for whales that inspires them to care about the oceans and the wild world around us.  Great for PreK - 6 yrs with an adult.

Morning Stroll to the Horse Bridge

Take a morning stroll through the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary!

Join us for an easy midmorning stroll through the cool back woods of the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. Our short walk will start among towering groves of white pine, where we will search for toads and salamanders. The trail will lead us to a wildflower-filled field rich with dragonflies and butterflies. A few steps later, we will encounter an old wooden bridge that spans the Ipswich River, where we will stop for a snack and look for ducks, geese, and maybe a snapping turtle!

The members are highly talented musicians who bring to each concert the skill and knowledge gained from years of study and performing experience - a great show! Fish Forensics

Learn how to identify fish using their DNA at Maritime Gloucester.

Unleash your inner detective with this unique opportunity. Get your hands dirty using state of the art technology to characterize a fish by its DNA and protein structures. Work with our own Mary Kay Taylor, and with Emily Chandler of the Large Pelagics Research Center (http://tunalab.org) to learn the latest techniques for identifying and labeling fish meat. This is our newest marine science class. Due to inquiries it has been opened to curious adults.
