Join the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club (NSAAC) at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge to experience the wonders of the night sky. NSAAC Volunteers will set up telescopes for viewing stars, planets, nebula, and more. Participants will be aided by members of the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club in viewing the wonders of the night sky, and learn about the importance of dark skies for migratory wildlife from refuge staff.
Join Salem Coastwatch for a special marine exploration of Salem Sound and its many aquatic gifts. This session wiil focus on how people in Salem Massachusetts have interacted with the gifts from the sealfor time immemorial. We will follow up with a hands-on, take-home craft. Phonemic Friends is an interactive pre-literacy program for caregivers with children ages 2 through 5 years old. Together, we will practice important early literacy, language and articulation skills through stories, songs and activities for young children and their caregivers to use together! Under the direction of Music Director Dr. Minji Kim, the Newburyport Choral Society welcomes you to experience a selection will perform a selection of delightful holiday music from various cultures and countries around the world. The choral program includes a Spanish lullaby, a Moroccan Chanukah composition, an African Kwanzaa song of celebration, a Filipino Christmas carol, and the well-known Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten.
