Grab Dad and come to a Live Animal Presentation of Snakes of Ravenswood, Massachusetts, and the World! As the sun warms the ground, you may come across a snake that slithers away before you have a chance to see it.  This is your chance to get up close to see and appreciate these creatures living in our yards and woodlands.  Rick Roth, local snake expert, and founder and Executive Director of Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team, will share some of his favorite snakes and discuss their lives, habits, and care.  Free for Dads today. Generous Gardeners has a great fundraising idea for gardeners this Spring that helps the gardener, the garden, the environment and the Gloucester Education Foundation! If you're an avid gardener like we are, you know that the time to split your perrenials is now, and you'll also be in the process of raising seedlings for planting after the last frost. So split your perennials and plant some extra seedlings, because now there's a place to send them! Donate your split perennials with Generous Gardeners, and they'll end up in a garden sale on May 21 at O'Maley Innovation Middle School that will raise funds for the Gloucester Education Foundation.

Stop by and learn all about the Coast Guard and its important role in Gloucester!  The United States Coast Guard Station Gloucester annual Safe Boating Day Open House will feature local marine vendors, safe boating displays, flare demonstrations, and tours of Coast Guard vessels, and more. Come see the Marblehead High School Senior Art Show at Abbot Library

Come to the Abbot Public Library May 9 – June 2 to step into Marblehead's own version of the Van Gogh's Starry Night. This inspired theme will be the backdrop for this year’s Marblehead High School's Annual Senior Art Show. The show will exhibit different media, from photographs to busts to paintings, all created by the students of the class of 2016. Many of the pieces have won awards in art competitions and are truly spectacular to look upon. The opening night reception will be on Monday, May 16, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Abbot's art gallery.
