April Vacation Week Programs at Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester Massachusetts

Celebrate the return of spring with a visit to the Cape Ann Museum during April School Vacation Week! The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, April 18 – Friday, April 21. Explore the galleries with a scavenger hunt and family-friendly activities then head to the CAM Studio for an art project.

Join us on the grounds of the for a self-guided StoryWalk® featuring the children’s picture book The Nest Robin Built, by Denise Fleming. Follow the path to book pages posted along the route. Long Hill Gardens in Beverly Massachusetts is a great place to learn about the nattural world and the creatures that live in it!

 

Activate the young explorer within your child on the Trustees' Garden Explorers programs, a series of drop-in activities held each month on different themes. These programs are a great way for children to learn more about the natural world around us. Join us anytime between 11AM and 1PM and stay for as long as you’d like.

Collect an egg stamp at each station and take your fully-stamped Trail Hop “passport” to the Farmhouse Cafe to collect your special treat!

Join chef Liz Walcowicz in this lively, hands-on cooking class. Participants will learn how to utilize root vegetables from the farm and other local farmers to create an exciting multi-course meal. The menu changes seasonally and each class will provide an opportunity for participants to increase their comfort in the kitchen through new knife skills, techniques and flavor profiles. There will be equal parts cooking and eating, and class ends with a shared meal, so bring your appetite!
