While some traditions are shared across countries, others are unique to one region, community or national cultural identity. Our programming this year focuses on Chinese cultural traditions.
Symphony by the Sea performs a special all-Bach program with music by Johann Sebastian Bach and his talented sons. While the senior Bach was an undisputed master of Baroque style and instrumental writing, his sons embraced newer, simpler forms that appealed to emerging tastes and the evolving musical landscape.
