IPL | Plum Island Pans Summer Kick Off

Come to the Ipswich Middle Grean to Kick-Off the Summer with Ipswich Library and Zach Firld Drum Studios

Ipswich Public Library invites kids and families to kick off the Summer Reading program with the Plum Island Pans - a local steel drum band! The band originates from Zach Field Drums & Music in Newburyport. The 4-piece band consists of a lead steel drum, double second steel drums, 6 can bass and a drum set. Plum Island Pans has even performed at Fenway Park for The Boston Red Sox. For all ages! The program is free and no registration is required.

Looking for things to do during your April Vacation on the North Shore? Peabody Essex Museum has a fabulous line-up of fun activities, performances, and tours for kids and families. Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the cultural exchange project that brought Yin Yu Tang to Peabody Essex Museum !

For this school vacation week, travel across the world without leaving Salem by learning traditional Chinese paper cutting with local guest artist Zhonghe (Elena) Li on Monday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons. Join us for film screenings in Morse Auditorium on Friday, and challenge yourself all three days with a museum-wide dragon scavenger hunt!

Fantasies and Mythology Concert

Cape Ann Symphony Fantrasies and Mythology Concert in Manchester Massachusetts

Please join  the Cape Ann Symphony Woodwind Quintet and pianist Kathleen Forgac, presenting musical fantasies and works inspired by myths, legends and lore. Boston City Singers at Shalin Liu

The Boston City Singers will perform a FREE Concert at the Shalin Liu Center for Performing Arts in Rockport Massachusetts.

Boston City Singers serves 500 extraordinary singers aged 4 – 18 in 15 different programs, most of whom live in the Boston’s urban neighborhoods. Our music and creative youth development programs are located in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain and North Cambridge. Admission is need-blind. Tuition is based on a sliding scale and no child is denied access to our programs for lack of family resources.

Enjoy an incredible performance of young jazz musicians (alongside a professional ensemble), led by saxophonist and Cape Ann Jazz Workshop director Alexa Tarantino. This showcase features student musicians from the previous summer workshops highlighting their impressive jazz skills.
