Walk Against Domestic Violence

The Walk Against Domestic Violence is hosted by Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center in Newburyport, Massachusetts. We walk because it could be your best friend, your younger sister, the man who works in the office next to you, your child's best friend, or the teenage girl who works in the local coffee shop. We walk because domestic violence doesn't have a face, because it could happen to anyone, at any time. Walk with us as we advocate for change and raise awareness for domestic violence.

GNOCA 5K Run/Walk

GNOCA's 5K Run/Walk in Honor of Jackie Poor & Paula Holm is a 5k Run or Family Friendly Stroll through Scenic Newburyport starting & ending at Michael's Harborside. Tee Shirts will be given to the First 100 Registrants. All participating runners will be assigned numbers and timed. Great Prizes for Age Category Winners!

Maritime Adventure Free Days at Custom House Maritime Museum Newburyport Massachusetts

Maritime Adventure Free Days offers families and kids a unique opportunity to explore maritime history through interactive activities, guided tours, and hands-on workshops. A day of fun and discovery at the Custom House Maritime Museum for the family. These free Saturday events include experiencing a traditional Wampanoag dugout canoe being made by a team of craftsmen. This popular hike is back again and has been going for over a decade! Join the park interpreter for a moderately paced walk each week to view different areas of the park and experience the seasonal changes at Maudslay. For Ages 6 & up

Take a nice n' easy stroll at Muadslay State Park with your family in Newburyport Massachusetts!

Take a nice n' easy stroll at Bradley Palmer State Park with your family! Join the park interpreter for a basic recreational hike to explore the diverse landscape on a variety of trails through different areas of the park. For all ages.

History Walk at Maudslay State Park

Kids will learn about the history of Maudslay State Park through storytelling by the park interpretor

Join Maudslay State Park interpreter on a tour of the former Moseley Family estate. There are so many stories about the Moseley’s and their beautiful former estate. Join the park interpreter on a guided tour to view the site of the family mansion and their daughter Helen’s house, both areas are picturesque and have open vistas overlooking the Merrimack River. During the walk Moseley Family stories and archival photos of their estate will be shared too.

You can look at and touch the creatures in Joppa Flats Educations Center touch tank in Newburyport, Massachusetts

Spend some quality time at our touch tank where you can see and hold hermit crabs, moon snails, sea urchins and more! Come see how much our horseshoe crab hatchlings have grown and spend some time in our Kid Zone with a science station, take-home craft and coloring pages. Part of Trails & Sails.

Ride the Coastal Trails Network

Take a ride with the Coastal Trails Coalition through Amesbury, Newburyport and Salisbury Massachusetts!

Join Coastal Trails Coalition on a bike ride on the Coastal Trails in Newburyport, Amesbury and Salisbury on a combination of quiet streets and paved and stone dust trails, with two crossings of the Merrimack River beside US 1 and I-95. We’ll cycle through woods, salt marsh, neighborhoods, and Newburyport’s historic downtown. The total length is 12 miles on mostly flat terrain, with short climbs on the bridges over the river. If participants wish, the route can be extended to look at other parts of the system.
