Jessica Lahey will speak at Glen Urquhart School on Monday, November 26 at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Lahey iwrites about education, parenting, and child welfare for The Atlantic, Vermont Public Radio, The Washington Post and The New York Times. She is the author of The New York Times bestselling book, The Gift of Failure: How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So Their Children Can Succeed.
Ms. Lahey teaches high school English and writing in a drug rehab for adolescents in Vermont, and her next book, The Addiction Inoculation: Raising Healthy Kids in a Culture of Dependence, will be released in 2020

Bandits on the Run is a Brooklyn, New York-based whimsical, criminal trio, notorious for stealing hearts and serenading strangers. They first gained infamy conducting musical sticks-ups in the subways of New York City with their three part-harmony and nostalgic sensibilities. Join Beverly Bootstraps to help celebrate their 25th Anniversary as they host Nancy Frates for an inspirational breakfast talk. This uplifting event will be held at the Cabot Theatre in Beverly. Nancy is the founder of the Ice Bucket Challenge - a global fundraising phenomena that has raised hundreds of millions of dollars and promoted awareness of ALS.
Glen Urquhart School invites parents to attend the North Shore Secondary School Fair, held on its campus, Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 6:00-8:30 pm. Admission Directors from 97 Independent Secondary Schools will be in attendance.
