TOHP Burnham Public Library invites kids 3 and older to a special event with Essex resident and author Diane Polley as she reads her Cape Ann Reads award winning picture book “Let’s Go! Animal Tracks in the Snow!” Join us for a reading of the book, crafts, special activities and hot cocoa. Ages 3 and older, please RSVP to awanner@essexpl.org or call 978-768-7410.
Children, in grades 1-5, who are struggling with reading are invited to read with Coco! Certified reading therapy dog Coco, and her owner Randi, will visit the library twice a month to help children practice reading and gain confidence. Six 10 minute slots (3 per day) will be available for children to read aloud to Coco one-on-one. Children may bring their own book or use a library book.
Come to Sawyer Free Library for a fun afternoon where kids can talk and share their experiences in the kitchen. Register and check out a copy of the Around the World Cookbook by Abigail Dodge, let the library know which recipe you will make at home and the bring the dish to the library to share and discuss!
This month's book club will be reading 'Who Was Albert Einstein?' and making our very own BLUBBER creations!! This Book Club meets once a month and lets kids use technology, crafts, and imagination to share what they learned in every book in the “Who Was Series”. Books will be available for pickup March 31st. Online Registration Required. **Please email Katelyn White (children's librarian) if your child has any food allergies or restrictions.

Sawyer Free Library hosts Poetry and Puppies at the outdoor ampitheater! This program for kids ages 6 and up encourages learning poetry while giving children a chance to ineteract with puppies looking for a home! In partnership with the Cape Ann Animal Aid.

SalemRecycles is hosting their annual textile recycling event! Clean out your closets the green way - drop off USABLE and UNUSABLE textiles at SalemRecycles' fifth annual Clothing and Textile Recycling Drive. Look for the Goodwill truck in Riley Plaza (212 Washington Street, Salem). Usable items will be sold in Goodwill stores; unusable items will be recycled into new products.
