This Mother’s Day, Celebrate Spring in Boston's most beautiful parks at the Duckling Day celebration and parade on Sunday, May 10th. A beloved tradition for over 30 years, the event celebrates the children’s classic book Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. Every year, hundreds of children parade through Boston’s most picturesque parks, dressed like characters from the story. Led by the Harvard University Marching Band, the parade will begin in the Boston Common at the Parkman Bandstand and end in the Public Garden near the famous Make Way for Ducklings sculptures.

Showcasing the talents of kids of all ages. This is a non-competitive showcase of children’s talent in Newburyport and the surrounding area. Children in grades 1 - 12, ages 6 - 18 who are residents or students in the Newburyport Schools and the immediate surrounding areas will be allowed to participate.

Who says children aren't in charge? Each year on the first Sunday of May, Downtown Portsmouth becomes headquarters for children of all ages with the celebration of Children's Day. An estimated 10,000+ "children" visit Portsmouth to take part in an afternoon of fun on the Seacoast.

The Sawyer Free Library invites kids to fun puppet show featuring Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals!  Lindsay shares her hand crafted, life size puppets with children and families across NH, MA, and ME. Filled with silliness, crowd participation, and lovable characters, her charming and positive short stories will delight the young and the young at heart!
