This workshop is now full. 4/29/13
In a continuing effort to instill music appreciation at an early age, Music Mania encourages students to explore basic concepts such as pitch matching, healthy use of the singing voice and proper technique for classroom instruments. Students are introduced to musical theater, symphonic music, theory, world music and listening - all presented in exciting and fun ways using a beloved piece of children's literature as a theme for games, singing, and instrument exploration.
Students are organized in small groups according to age where they explore music and movement to build coordination, language and cognitive skills, social skills and tools for self-expression. All age groups come together to tell the story in a culminating performance for friends and family on Saturday May 4 from 12 pm – 1pm.
NEW FOR 2013: Participation is free! There is no registration fee required for participation, but online registration is required in advance to save your space.
We welcome ages Pre – K (minimum age 4.5) through Grade 6.
