Join park staff from the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge for a full day of FREE family fun that's focused on outdoor activity! Parker River NWR is excited to welcome community members back to our annual Let's Go Outside event, with an exciting new addition. This year we will celebrate Let's Go Outside as an Open Streets event. This means the refuge road will be temporarily transformed into a car-free zone for visitors to bike, walk, roll, and play! Parking will be provided at the refuge visitor center and Lot 1, and free shuttle service will be provided between key locations.
Let's Go Outside is a completely FREE and fun event for visitors of all ages and abilities. Activity stations will be located at both the visitor center and along the refuge road. Try your hand at archery, surf fishing, kayaking, bird watching, and a bike rodeo! Or, visit one of the many nature- and transportation-based activity stations. These include crafts, bike tune-ups, live raptor programming, cycling safety, story time, and more. This event will take place rain or shine. No need to preregister; simply show up!
