The Academy at Penguin Hall welcomes you to discover the only all girls college preparatory high school in Essex County.
The Academy’s student centered curriculum focuses on the needs and interests of the individual student, rather than the traditional or conventional ideas of how students should learn. The program focuses on six areas of development: Academics, Arts, Health and Wellness, Community, Spirituality and Service.
Children's Tea at the Wenham Tea House
The Wenham Tea House invites you to a Children's Tea that's a fun and interesting way to pass the afternoon with you and your children! These teas are magical experiences for girls and boys of all ages to interact with their favorite storybook character. We invite a professional actress to dress up as a character from a magical universe and come down to the Tea House and read the character's story to our guests as we serve a delightful menu of treats to you and your loved ones. All children's teas start promptly at 3:30pm and end at 5pm. Prince and Princess dress for the young ones is welcomed and appreciated. Please arrive at 3:15pm to get your seat and beverage selection.
Meet Children's Author Julia Walsh
See the world of nature through the eyes of Julie as she watches an orphaned duckling learn about perseverance, all while she learns lessons of love.
Join local author Julia Walsh for a reading and book signing of Wings on the Wind, a new children’s book based upon a true story. Ms. Walsh will also lead us in an art making activity. Copies of the book will be available for purchase in the Wenham Museum Shop.
Gordon College Art Gallery Exhibit: Tim Harney, Paintings and Collages
The Gallery at Gordon College's Barrington Center for the Arts presents its opening exhibit of the 2012-2013 season. Timothy Harney: My Mother's Hands, My Father's Heart: Paintings and Collages, 2000-2012.
Timothy Harney's whimsical and colorful paintings and collages will fascinate children of all ages. The Gallery will exhibit an especially large number of Harney's artworks, spanning more than a decade of this local artist's notable career.
Come to The Gallery on Sat. Sept 1st from 4pm to 6pm for the opening reception and artist lecture.

Fireside Noel at Wenham Museum
A Hamilton-Wenham tradition moves to the Wenham Museum!
Musical vingettes by the Fireside Carolers and the Allegro Dance Ensemble will put everyone in the holiday spirit with a sing-a-long, stories, and instrumental performances. Appropriate for all ages.
Storybook Quilts
At the turn of the 21st century the Common Threads Quilt Guild began a project called The Storybook Quilts under the leadership of Pat Gandt. The quilts were sewn with love by members of the guild with the goal of supporting literacy and fostering interest in the needle arts. The guild drew inspiration from children’s books that used quilts or coverlets as an integral part of their stories.
NEW EXHIBIT! Train Time at the Wenham Museum
Come “ride the rails” and see three big “Train Time” model railroad layouts created by the museum’s Train Curators and volunteers. A museum tradition since the 1970’s, everyone will have fun seeing the village details, lights and moving trains in our largest exhibit gallery.
M is for Museum
M is for Museum programs have been designed to introduce young visitors to museum concepts in a fun interactive setting. On the second Friday of the month at 9:30 and 10:30.
In the Wenham Museum Makery, children will explore their creativity and engineering skills.
LEGOS AT LARGE
LEGOs At Large exhibit at Wenham Museum features extra-large LEGO installations – one of them has 20,000 LEGO bricks in it!
In this exhibit, you’ll be inspired to make your own at LEGO sculptures at LEGO and DUPLO building stations in the gallery, and feel what it’s like to be a LEGO mini-fig and GO INSIDE a LEGO building made from extra-large LEGO bricks.
Jedi LEGO Workshop
The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects such as LEGO X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imaginations and engineering to defeat the Empire!
