CAM Kids Second Saturdays - Calligraphy

CAM Kids will teach kids the basics of Calligraphy at Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester

Learn calligraphy basics with specialist Albina Papows. Inspired by the special exhibition Unfolding Histories: Cape Ann before 1900. Write your name, use calligraphy tools and leave with a sampler to take home. This family workshop is recommended for children 7 and up with an adult. Registration required.

It's Family Night in the Aqua Room every Tuesday night from 5-8pm. Kids pay their age for day passes and no one pays more than $10 a pass. Come with the family and enjoy an evening swim in the heated indoor pool with colorful pool lights. There are plenty of flat screen TV's, full-service bar, and extensive dinner menu available for food and drinks poolside. Note: One adult must be present for every three Junior/Youth swimmers at all times & absolutely no outside food or beverage is permitted.

Tours highlight the history of the ice industry, with vintage film of natural ice harvests. See first hand 300-pound block ice being made (up to 350 tons per day), fishing vessels taking on ice and ice sculptures being carved in our historic icehouse on Gloucester's working waterfront.
