Deb LaFrance of the Gloucester Uechi Karate Academy invites local women to an assault prevention seminar in Manchester-by-the-Sea! This safe, interactive seminar is designed to introduce you to the topic of personal safety. The focus will be on strategies to avoid assault and to explore foundational concepts of self-defense and conditioning. No fitness experience is necessary!

Cape Ann Makers Market, 2021 Spring Market is a great way to see what local makers and artisans have to offer! Weather permitting this will be an outdoor event, otherwise will be held indoors. Pleases also note, we'll be doing our best to make this a safe holiday shopping experience for all with masks required, hand sanitizer available, number of people in shop at a time may be limited. See the Museum through the eyes of a child with this animated family tour of paintings, sculpture and maritime objects. Learn to think and see like an artist, a fisherman or quarry worker. Created for children ages 3–12 with their caregivers. This 30-minute tour ends in the Activity Center for art projects and play. Free for CAM members or with Museum admission. Space is limited, registration required.

Stage Fort Park is one of the most visited spaces in Gloucester, and for good reason. It's beautiful and it provides fields, playground and tables for everyone to enjoy. To protect this incredible resource, we need to do our part. This Hands Across the Sand event and cleanup will bring people together to oppose new offshore drilling and other fossil fuel development and promote a clean energy future! We will gather just before noon for a non-hand holding lineup photo along the shore in solidarity with people around the globe on this day, calling for an end to offshore drilling! We look forward to seeing you out there.
