Come to Sawyer Free Library's presentation of 'Snakes of New England and the World'*. Rick Roth and the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team bring the always exciting and popular program Snakes of the World to our outdoor amphitheater! Join Rick and his team as they introduce many snakes, large and small, and some local! You will have the opportunity to hold and handle the snakes if you choose, or just admire them as we learn about these amazing creatures!

Kids will enjoy alive animal demonstration by Rainforest Reptiles hosted by the Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester Massachusetts

Summer is here! Join  the library as we kick off summer reading with an educational and exciting show! Rainforest Reptiles: Conservation through Education!  Enjoy this fun and informative presentation by a herpetologist and visit with  bugs, frogs, snakes, lizards, a tortoise, and the American alligator. This event is hosted by Sawyer Free Library and will be held at Captain Lester S. Wass American Legion Post 3, (8 Washington Street.)

Saving Earth Together is a Talewise Science Program at the public library in Manchester Massachusetts

Gloucester Maritime Rendezvous

The Gloucester Maritime Rendezvous celebrates its combined heritage with Lunenburg Nova Scotia

The Gloucester Maritime Rendezvous celebrates the combined heritage of two great fishing towns and their connection to the sea. Gloucester, Massachusetts and Luneburg, Nova Scotia. In this annual tradition, once more the Gloucester International Dory Racing Committee hosts the Canadian Dory Rowing Association from Nova Scotia to compete against the best dory rowers from Gloucester, going head-to-head on Gloucester's historic harbor.  Boat tours and deck tours happen daily and there are many opportunities available to sail aboard the particitpating vessels!

Kids Sail Free on the Schooner Lannon

Kids ride free on the 10:30am an Noon Saturday Cruise on the Schooner Lannon through Summer

Schooner Thomas E. Lannon is a fixture on the Gloucester Harbor vista throughout the day in the warm months, but to really experience the Lannon, you need to come aboard and go for a cruise!  Sail and see lighthouses, castles, scenic beaches, and magnificent waterfront homes.
