Wenham Museum is proud to host “Pajamas of My Dreams” an evening of fun with Pajama Storytime & Pajama Drive to benefit Cradles to Crayons.

"Pajamas of My Dreams” is a beautifully illustrated book that combines the hopefulness and high aspirations of children with a mission of providing warm pajamas for all.

After a reading by the author, Laurie Collins, children will enjoy a color and collage Dream activity with the book’s author and illustrator, Margie Florini.

Guests are invited to bring a new pair of pajamas to donate to Cradles to Crayons; an organization that distributes clothing and school supplies to local children.

All ages welcome.

Feeling a bit crabby? Then be a little shellfish and join author Brian Benoit and illustrator Marty Kelley to celebrate the release of their new picture book, at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire! Special programs, at 2:00 and 2:45 will include a reading of Crustacean Vacation by the author, art activities led by the illustrator, a question and answer period, book signing, and more. There will even be a chance to take a photograph of yourself as an octopus lifeguard, one of the characters from the book.

Her talk, part of Brookwood School’s 4 to 14 Speaker Series: Parenting Elementary School Kids, will be followed by a question and answer session and a book signing.

This is an event that every parent should attend to learn how successful parents and educators are helping their children find success in school and in life.

Daughter of Winter Celebration

The Daughter of Winter is based in Essex Massachusets during the mid 1800s

Pat Lowery Collins’ novel is based in mid-19th century Essex. This story of a twelve year old girl’s experience living on Hog Island during the winter brings together tales of the Essex landscape, the California gold rush and the Eastern Woodland Native Americans. This family program is fun for all ages and is free to the public.

The Story of 'Inland' - Meet the Author

Sawyer Free Library invites you to a reading from by the author Lisa Capone. Dale Brown of the Whale Center of New England will be there as part of the presentation. Discuss this true story of a North Atlantic Humpback whale's autumn spent close to shore in Salem Sound, the people that interacted with her and her journey south that ended in her death off of the Virginia coast.  Inland's skeleton is now on display at the Whale Center of New England, and has been used as a teaching aid in whale anatomy for thousands of visitors!
