Vered is an award winning musician who brings the joys and intricacies of family life to music. Her show is fun, funny, gets everyone singing along, and sometimes will even have parents shedding an emotional tear. Inspired by her experience as a music therapist and psychotherapist, and her experience as a mom of three, Vered approaches relationships in the family with wonder, curiosity, and humor. Her music is reminiscent of a Doo-Wop band, using playful vocal harmonies, lively horns, pots and pans, and beatboxing to get everyone jumping and singing along. Vered’s albums Good Morning My Love, Hello My Baby, and Songs for Sisters and Brothers all received prestigious awards. Sponsored by the Massachusetts Center for Native American Awareness, this festival is a showcase for traditional Native American culture including dance, music, storytelling, craft making, singing, tipi building, native foods, interactive games and more. Bring the family, learn about the culture of the Native American tribes that existed here prior to European settlers arriving, and enjoy the beautiful setting of Plug Pond in Haverhill!

The Salem Jazz & Soul Festival is a free event the whole family will enjoy.  Safiya Leslie is an artist and producer who transcends the norm. Flavoring her sounds with musical dialects hailing from jazz and her Afro-Caribbean roots. Safiya and her powerful band combine jazz chops, urban attitude, and Caribbean beauty.
