Teens are invited to Abbot Public Library for a fun afternoon of crafting their own keychain lanyards

Teens are invited to Abbot Public Library for a fun afternoon of crafting. Prepare for springtime with a summer camp favorite! Learn how to make a colorful keychain or zipper pull using plastic lacing. Make a simple box stitch keychain with two colors, or learn how to do more advanced shapes with three and four colors. Instructions will be provided, and no registration is required.

Knitting Club at Essex Library

Come try your hand at knitting at the Essex Library! Ages 6 and up

The TOHP Burnham Public Library in Essex hosts a knitting club for anybody aged 6 and up! Children ages 6 years and older with an adult-Learn the basics of knitting AND sewing with Ms. Christine. No experience necessary! Build hand strength and dexterity which will support fine motor skills. Participants will receive knitting needles and yarn to keep. Kid Chess Meetup at APL

Kids can play clocked chess matches against each other each Wednesday at the Abbot Public Library in Marblehead Massachusetts

Students of chess in grades 4-6 are invited to play each other using chess clocks after school on Wednesdays. Boards, pieces, and clocks will be provided, but not instruction. Children who already know the game and some moves may play against each other. Competing pairs have one half hour to play. Caregivers are invited. Registration is required – please call the Children’s Room at (781) 631-1481.

ECGA's Thanks for the Trails 5k Race on the Friday after Thanksgiving in Patton Park

ECTA is holding its 6th Annual Thanks for the Trails 5k and Kids Fun Run the Saturday after Thanksgiving at Patton Park in Hamilton (November 25, 2023).  The Kids' Run will begin at 9:30AM and the 5k will start at 10AM.  Using a scenic and challenging course and offering great prizes, this will be an event for all!  Super prizes for top finishers, and many other terrific prizes!
