Tough will discuss cutting edge research that shows character, not intelligence, may be the most important attribute when it comes to children finding success in school and in life. The program, part of Brookwood’s 4 to 14 Speaker Series: Parenting Elementary School Kids, begins at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a book sale and signing.

Brookwood School proudly welcomes award-winning journalist and author Ashley Merryman of NurtureShock: New Thinking About Children, as the first speaker in 2012-2013 4 to 14 Speaker Series: Parenting Elementary School Kids.  This is an event that every parent should attend to learn how successful parents and educators are helping their children find success in school and in life.

Mark your calendars for our second speaker of the 4 to 14 anniversary season, on February 10, 2016, for an evening with Dr. Jennifer Bryan who will discuss the topics of gender, sexual identity, and helping our kids navigate gender stereotypes. Tickets are $10 and are now on sale.
