"Hunger Games" Movie Release Party for Teens

The Hunger Games movie is based on the popular trilogy for teens by S. Collins

The Newburyport Public Library invites teens in grades 6 through 12 to join us for “The Hunger Games” Movie Release Party in the Program Room. We will have Hunger Games and Catching Fire trivia, a survival skills challenge, and a dress-your-tribute-in-duct-tape-fashion challenge. A cornucopia of snacks will be provided.

Art Beyond Vision

In a unique collaboration between the NH Association for the Blind and the NH Art Association, the Children's Museum of New Hampshire is hosting an exhibit titled 'Art Beyond Vision' through May 28, 2012. This curated collection of textural paintings, fiber arts and sculpture welcomes visitors to open their minds to a fresh new way of experiencing the beauty of art.

Parent & Child Art Workshop at CMNH

Sarah Haskell will lead a creative workshop for kidS and their parents at CMNH

On Saturday, March 10, nationally known fiber artist and weaver Sarah Haskell will lead a 90-minute creative workshop for children age 7 or older and their parents at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. Each participating parent/child pair will transform a simple plastic container into a beautiful work of art using textural materials. Pre-registration for this workshop is required.

Girls Incorporated of the Seacoast Area and the Newburyport Public Library invite girls aged 11 through 13 to come to the "Money Talks" workshop in the Library's Program Room. Money Talks! is a wonderful, fun hands-on workshop for girls and their mother/father/guardian/or significant adult in their life.  The purpose of Money Talks! is to increase communication and skills related to money.  Some activities involve girls and adults together while others separate the two groups.  This is a very empowering workshop!  The mission of Girls Incorporated is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold.
