While Spring is the time of new growth, it may still be too cold for fresh flowers or green grass. Bring some green life inside with an easy and adorable mason jar terrarium. We’ll use glass mason jars, gravel, soil, mosses and plants to create a miniature natural world that can stay on your desk or windowsill. You’ll leave with a mini terrarium of your own, plus the skills to make bigger ones at home.
Children three to six and a favorite adult of their choosing are invited to share in some fun-filled farm adventures which will connect them to daily life at Spencer Peirce Little Farm. Each week includes time with the farm animals, a story, and a related craft to take home.
A parent or guardian must attend. Younger siblings are welcome. Pre-registration is required.
Kids are invited to spend April Vacation at Glen Urquhart School. Children of all ages will enjoy the fun-filled days of games and outdoor exploration, including nature activities, field games, and campfire cooking. Each day kids will enjoy the spacious GUS Greenhouse for indoor activities. Participants should bring a bag lunch; GUS will provide snacks and an exciting and entertaining program.

Glen Urquhart School invites children ages 4-7 to attend a fun 90-minute outdoor program on the Glen Urquhart campus in Beverly. Activities will include creative field games, a guided hike on the woodland trail, and songs and stories in the GUS greenhouse classroom.

This Family Flyby will run in conjunction with the Superbowl of Birding 2026. This competition is a big deal in the birding world, and the Joppa Flats Education Center is going to be brimming with avid birders! What a great opportunity to learn from folks with lots of experience!

Come find out as we guide you on a winter walk to keep minds and bodies active with group games, family challenges, and lots of great wildlife and bird sightings. We'll meet at Joppa Flats, then hop into our cars and head out for the day's adventure. All field equipment will be provided. Join us for one or more of these fun family programs during the holidays!

Glazed Ceramics has a fun filled week of projects lined up for February vacation drop-off workshops. The kids workshops will be held twice daily from 11-12 or 2-3. $15 per workshop includes all materials and supplies.
