Join The Trustees of Reservations to explore the world of our resident winter birds here at Crane—beyond the Snowy Owl! Bring your binoculars (or borrow ours!) and join us in searching the water for Loons, Long-Tail ducks, Eiders, Scoters, Mergansers, and more! In the trees and sky, we might spot birds of prey, including owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles, alongside hardy songbirds and woodpeckers. A variety of shorebirds round out the viewing possibilities!

Celebrate the arrival of Spring with an egg hunt at North Shore Children's Museum, Peabody, Massachusetts. Come to the museum for a fun egg hunt with 15 exhibits, 600 eggs and lots of smiles! 12 of the eggs include museum admission. Adults are free.

Come explore what nature has in store at some of our most amazing wild places on the north shore with naturalists from the Joppa Flats Education Center. Our engaging and experienced staff will introduce families to local forests, beaches, and wetlands to make observations in nature, identify wildlife, and enjoy hands on science activities outdoors. Is there anything more comforting than a chicken pot pie for dinner on a chilly night? Learn how to make this classic pie from complete scratch with our baker Kami. This immersive class will first walk you through all-butter pie dough, followed by utilizing chicken bones to make stock for the gravy base and finally, putting it all together with farm fresh vegetables to create a delicious meal. You will leave this class with the knowledge of how to get the best out of your chicken. Class participants will leave class with a fully formed pie, extra pie dough, and a shared slice at the end.
