The NCS Winter Concert features the 140-voice chorus, professional soloists, orchestra, and the Greater Newburyport Children's Chorus, all performing classical, traditional and “sing-along” seasonal favorites!  The program will highlight Camille Saint-Saëns’ beautiful Christmas Oratorio, various musical settings of Lo How A Rose E’er Blooming, and an exciting multi-cultural piece from South Africa entitled, Hope for Resolution.

The Cabot Theatre in Beverly welcomes multiple Parent’s Choice award-winning singer/songwriter Stacey Peasley on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Stacey has long been delivering catchy melodies to the children’s music scene. Celebrating the success of their second album, “Lucky Day,” The Stacey Peasley Band combines exceptional musicianship with laughter and dancing to relatable songs about siblings, the family babysitter, fun with friends, getting into trouble, and growing up, creating an unforgettable family concert experience.

Nobuntu is a “Five Part” A’cappella Vocal ensemble made up of young women from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The name Nobuntu is an African concept that values humbleness, love, purpose, unity and family from a woman’s perspective. Their repertoire is a fusion of traditional Zimbabwean rooted music, Afro Jazz, Gospel and Crossover in pure voices with minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as Mbira and some dance movements. The Addams Family features an original story, and its every fathers nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family  a man her parents have never met. And if that werent upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something hes never done before  keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesdays normal boyfriend and his parents.
