Gloucester Student Arts Festival showcases multiple forms of art created by the students of Gloucester Massachusetts

The Gloucester Education Foundation and Gloucester Public Schools are thrilled to host the Gloucester Student Arts Festival, a day-long celebration of the arts in the Gloucester Public Schools!

Family Friendly Folk Dance

Come join the community tradition of the folk dance at Ipswich Town Hall in Massachusetts!

Dance is a New England folk tradition, and Ipswich Recreation invites you to the fun! Join old and new friends in folk dances, including squares, contras, and circle dances. Egrets-Only, a band and caller of local Ipswich parents, will provide the fiddle tunes and instruction. All are welcome and the dance is gender neutral. Circle, Line, & Square Dances. No partner or previous skill is required. Dancers are encouraged to bring a water bottle to fill as needed and an open heart.

Eagle Festival: Everything Eagles

During Eagle Festival Week, join North Shore Field Teachers at a popular viewing area to spot Bald Eagles along the Merrimack River and learn about behaviors such as soaring, fishing, and showing courtship displays. Using sound effects, props, and group role play, you'll stay active and warm outdoors as you and your family learn together. Three date and time choices!

Join PEM as they celebrate the Lunar New Year | The Year of the Dragon!  welcome the Year of the Dragon with a vibrant festival heralding new beginnings and the coming of spring. Join us as we continue our celebrations for the 20th anniversary of Yin Yu Tang: A Chinese Home at PEM! Enjoy performances, storytelling and art making and explore Yin Yu Tang.

After 29 years and 11,475 performances, STOMP closed in New York City on January 8, 2023, and went on tour. STOMP - a live experience of dance, rhythm and percussion is coming to Lynn Massachusetts! Matchboxes, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, and more fill the stage with energizing beats at STOMP: the inventive and invigorating stage show that’s dance, music, and theatrical performance blended together in one electrifying rhythm.

The Community House presents The Family and Friends Sweetheart Ball! Children ages 3 to 12 are invited to dance the night away with their favorite grown-up. Formerly the Father Daughter Dance and the Mother Son Knight Out, The Sweetheart Ball combines the two to make one, inclusive and festive event. Music provided by a local DJ, dancing, pizza, and an ice cream sundae bar included. Portraits provided by a professional photographer.

Celebrate the fish city’s recognizably salty character with local cultural institutions and businesses during the 3rd Annual Gloucester’s So Salty festival on January 20 and 21, 2024 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm! Over 1,800 people came out last year to share their salty pride while enjoying free ice sculptures and cultural activities around Downtown Gloucester.
