Saint Peter's Fiesta | Friday

The St. Peter's Fiesta in Gloucester, MA tradtionally hosts the Women's Seine Boat Races on Friday of the Festival

The Saint Peter's Fiesta is an annual festival in Gloucester, Massachusetts celebrating the city's fishing heritage, close-knit families, community, and religious traditions.  The five-day celebration includes a carnival, live entertainment, and unique traditional events like the infamous 'Greasy Pole' contest and classic seine boat races. The festival is proudly sponsored by the Italian-American fishing community of Gloucester, and has all kinds of family-oriented activities and events, making it a great early Summer destination weekend event.

  • 2pm - Midnight | Carnival Open | Saint Peter's Square
  • 4:45 pm | Greasy pole contest & women’s seine boat races | Pavilion Beach
  • 7:00 pm | Opening Ceremonies followed by Entertainment | Saint Peter's Square
    • 7:30 pm | Formal Opening - Saint Peter's statue will be led to the Fiesta altar at Saint Peter's Square in a candlelight procession.
    • Entertainment will immediately follow until 11:30 pm:
      • 8pm | Music featuring Luciano Russo
