Portraits In Silhouette is the combined expertise of silhouette artists and mother-daughter team, Jean Comerford and Marcella Comerford-Foley. Portraits In Silhouette is focused on bringing you original, personalized work, full of inventive detail and creative spark. The silhouettes are never produced with a digital program copied, or traced. You can expect a genuine, hand-cut, and individual portrait each time, with consideration for the subject’s character and those great details – capturing “what makes them who they are.” Whether that is a signature hairstyle, a cowlick, the way they hold their mouth, a bowtie, or glasses, we love to bring out the personality in our portraits.  Children of all ages including wigglers are welcome!

Born 137 years ago on April 13th, 1888, Hammond’s enduring influence transcends time, and we’re commemorating his extraordinary legacy. Celebrate the return of spring with a visit to the Cape Ann Museum during April School Vacation Week! The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, April 16 – Friday, April 19. Explore the galleries with a scavenger hunt and family-friendly activities then head to the CAM Studio for an art project.
