Paddle for Plummer is a fun and fantastic annual fundraiser for the Plummer Home in Salem MA

The 6th Annual Paddle for Plummer on July 13th, 2019 will be a day full of energy, stoke, fun and fitness for a fantastic cause! You don’t want to miss it! There will be over 400 participants and spectators enjoying live music, food, waterfront spinning, SUP yoga, and, of course, paddling on our beautiful waterfront property at Plummer Youth Promise in Salem, MA. Locally and internationally known sponsors and vendors will be there doing demos and supporting Plummer Youth Promise. All proceeds to the Plummer Home.

Salem Park, Recreation & Community Services and Creative Collective present the June 2019 edition of the Summer Winter Island Pop Up Drive-In series. The actual start time of the movie is dependent on sunset and weather. We try and start the film no later than 8: 15 PM... Winter Island is open to guests for this event starting at 6:30 PM for cars... Walkers and Bikers are welcome at any time. Come in early and grab a drink, some food and enjoy the pre-show!

Peabody Essex Museum celebrates Earth Day in Salem Massachusetts. Join in a variety of hands-on activities in Wes Sam-Bruce’s Mobile Art Studio. Consider what freedom means to you and your relationship with nature through writing prompts inspired by the Jewish Arts Collaborative and National Poetry Month. Meet members from the Backyard Growers Program, a nonprofit organization that has built more than 200 raised bed gardens, serving hundreds of Gloucester residents, and learn about the food system, the garden ecosystem and the science behind growing food.

The event brings together poets and poetry lovers of all ages for a rich array of offerings including readings, interactive art, music and performances.

Felts & Fibers: A Wool Festival at PEM

Peabody Celebrates wool and the things we make from it in a weekend festival!

Peabody Essex Museum celebrates the world of wool and the products that are created from this raw material in a weekend-long festival! There have been many uses for wool throughout history and across cultures dating back as far as 6000 B.C.E. Wool is made from the hair or fleece of certain animals such as sheep, goats, llamas - and even rabbits! Come explore where wool comes from as part of PEM's ongoing Art Materials and Creative Experience program.

North Shore Polar Plunge

Take the Polar Plunge in Salem or Beverly Massachusetts to raise funds for local non profits!

North Shore Community Development Inc., Lifebridge North Shore, River House and the Salem Education Foundation, are asking us to rally our students, friends, family, and networks to support the mission to end homelessness. The 2019 Polar Plunge takes place in both Beverly and Salem- Teams are created accordingly in each school district, with each team "competing" (healthily) with in their own school district.
