Plum Island Drive-In Fundaraiser for Newburyport Youth Services featuring 'Moana'!

Enjoy a beautiful night on at the ocean's edge at the Plum Island Beach parking lot converted into a 'Drive-in'. Grab your friends or family, jump in the car and head over to Plum Island for a weekend of drive-in movies to kick off this summer! All proceeds to benefit the Newburyport Youth Services scholarship funds. This showing will be Disney's Moana!  An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder.

Lisa Hutchings Teacher-Naturalist from Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats Education Center and the crew of Newburyport Harbor Tours Inc.'s Yankee Clipper invite you and your family for an exciting exploration of the lower Merrimack River ecosystem. We'll practice hands-on science, use interactive propgs, and look for seabirds, seals, and waterfowl on every trip. Enjoy cruising and learning about this vital part of the area's natural history.

Emma Andrews Library and Community Center is hosting their annual fundraiser yard sale and bake sale on July 27 this year. Come join the fun and see what treasures you can find! All proceeds go to fund programs at the center. So clean out your closets, attics, cellars and garages, then bring your sellable goods to the Community Center! Magician Debbie O'Carroll will be performing her Fun and Games Magic Show in the Emma's backyard on Thursday, July 25 from 10am-12pm. Debbie is a "one of a kind" performer. She combines stage magic and theater with lots of audience participation to create captivating programs for children. This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend.

Join the fun of the 3rd Annual Kayak and Paddle Board River Race.   Participants will launch at Cashman Park boat ramp off Merrimac Street. The contestants will paddle up River at low tide/slack tide around Ram Island, Carr Island, Deer Island and back to Cashman Park with the out going tide,  4.6 miles.
