Attend four church fairs on the same day and help support Family Promise of the North Shore, an organization working to bring area families out of homelessness. Obtain a "Passport" raffle ticket at any of the four fairs (suggested donation $2.00,) and have it stamped at each Fair. At the end of the day, turn in your ticket with stamps from all four churches to be entered into a raffle for great prizes, including tickets to the North Shore Music Theater's Christmas Carol, tickets to The Cabot Theater, restaurant gift certificates and more! The Board of Trustees has unanimously elected Clair Ward to become Shore's seventh Head of School as of July 1, 2017. Ward is currently the Head of the Valley School of Ligonier, in Pennsylvania.
In the message to the community announcing the selection, the President of the Board of Trustees, Jenn Borggaard, wrote, "An experienced teacher, administrator, and leader, Clair is well prepared to succeed long-time Head of School Larry Griffin and lead Shore into its next chapter."
Abbot Public Library invites kids to celebrate is National Teddy Bear Picnic Day! All across the country, children and their teddies will be getting together for snacks, stories, and activities, and we at the Abbot Library are no exception! Join us in the Children’s Room at 1:30 pm for this hour-long program. We’ll head out to the garden to hear books about bears, share a tasty treat, and make crafty presents for our loyal loveys.
