The Annual Essex Fire Department Company Spaghetti Supper is A great night to enjoy a home-cooked meal with neighbors and friends while supporting a great cause! The town’s volunteer firefighters put out quite a spread of all-you-can-eat homemade spaghetti and meatballs accompanied by salad, beverage and dessert. Everyone welcome! Donations accepted at the door. Winter boots and coats will be collected to help those in need. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated.
Join the Newburyport Education Foundation for their Lighthouse Auction to raise funds that will go to enhance the quality of public education in the Newburyport School District. This auction is the biggest fundraiser of the year for NEF, raising over $100,000! This years' auction proceeds will go to the District-Wide STEM Initiative (Phase 2 &3) at the Molin Upper Elementary, Nock Middle School, and Newburyport High School
The Marblehead Rotary hosts the Marblehead 5K for Mental Health! Marblehead Rotary club is providing Marblehead schools with a daily mindfulness program called Inner Explorer, a nonprofit, that has developed a series of audio guided practices used in over 7000 schools. The program is simple and delivers measurable results. Inner Explorer’s mission is to make the daily practice of mindfulness, approachable and accessible for school communities and to equip educators, students and their families with valuable life skills that foster human potential.

Please join us for the fifth annual Run for Amy Memorial Trail Race, on September 23rd, 2023 through beautiful Appleton Farms in Ipswich, MA. The race, in memory of Amy DiAdamo Foster, is meant to celebrate her life through embracing her passions of both running and spending time outdoors. Equally as important to Amy was the opportunity to gather friends and host a great party so don’t plan on leaving after your race, as music, food and libations are part of the festivities! Kids are encouraged to join into the fun and the race, there will be prizes for the top kid finishers in each of the 5K and 10K
NF Northeast is excited to announce our 12th Annual Coast to the Cure ride to benefit NF Northeast on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA. Participants will have the option to choose from 24, 40, or 66 mile courses. Day of registration opens at 6:30 am and staggered starts will begin at 7:00 am (see below for details). Registration fee includes rest stops with food and drink along the course, SAG wagon, post-ride lunch by Amigos Locos food truck and entrance to the beer garden (must be over 21 years of age).

Grab your friends or family, jump in the car and head over to Plum Island for a weekend of drive-in movies! All proceeds to benefit the Newburyport Youth Services scholarship funds. The Donkey Derby at Myopia Hunt Club in Hamilton is a fun way to raise funds for the Equine Rescue Network. The mission of the event is to ENJOY the day and raise awareness of donkeys, mules and other barnyard animals. Donkeys make great pets! They are affectionate, agile & athletic. There is no definition of a “DONKEY DERBY” because we made it up. Yes, there will be donkeys racing around, and perhaps a few mules, horses, goats or cows. There will be lots of people too – animals in costumes, food trucks and perhaps beer.
