Pete the Cat, that groovy feline who likes to sing his songs as he goes along, will be visiting the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire to greet young fans and help promote the love of reading! Books Alive seeks to make reading a regular family experience. Museum educators will be reading these fun and colorful books, written by Eric Litwin and illustrated by James Dean, throughout the day. A friendly costumed Pete the Cat will pop in and out to greet children, exchange a hug or high-five and pose for photos. There will also be a variety of Pete-the-Cat-inspired literacy, math and creative activities for all guests.
Free with Museum admission.
Our Books Alive program features several visits per year by beloved children's book characters. At each event, there are stories read aloud, literacy activities, fun crafts and of course, periodic appearances by the characters. Kids are welcome to share a hug, handshake or high-five with each character and pose for photos.
All activities are included in standard paid admission and no reservations are required.
