Movement Mapping at IPL

Movement Sessions with Jenny Carlson form High Street Studios at the Ipswich Public Library in Massachusetts.

For students in grades 1 to 5. Jenny Carlson (form High Street Studio in Ipswich) will be the instructor of a Movement mapping program which contains a STEM activity and the art of dance. Symbols designate different dance moves and students draw and design their own choreography map! The participants will perform the dance that they drafted on paper and then the dancers will perform each other's movement maps. Math, science, and dance all in the same program.

Take the Carboard Challenge in Salem Ma with the Phoenix School and Imagination Foundation!

In partnership with the Imagination Foundation, the Phoenix School will host its annual Cardboard Challenge at Armory Park in Salem. Join in the worldwide celebration of creativity and imagination where everyone is challenged to design and create using cardboard and recycled materials. The Phoenix School Cardboard Challenge is part of a global Day of Play around the world. Waldorf School at Moraine Farm hosts a class for you and your baby! Our experienced Waldorf teachers will share with you information and helpful practices to better understand and care for your baby. Themes will include your new role as a parent, early developmental stages, warmth and how to dress your baby, healthy rhythm for the day, sleep and the foundational senses. Parents will learn lullabies and games to play with their babies.

Doll Making Workshop at Waldorf School

Waldorf School Doll making Workshop in Beverly Massachusetts

Bring home a baby doll for your little one - handmade by you! Be creative, be inspired by Elizabeth Stubbs, a Waldorf early childhood teacher and artist, and other doll makers in training. Dolls are made from all natural materials, sweet, lightweight, and oh so soft for hugging. Basic sewing skills are all you need for this workshop. $35 workshop fee includes hands-on instruction and materials to make the doll. Fun, good conversation and refreshments are part of this gathering, too. The workshop will take place at the Gatehouse. Limited to 12 attendees, register soon! Adults only.

Each year in its annual survey, Cuvilly families are asked what they would never want to change about our preschool and that answer is always the animals.

Located in Ipswich, Massachusetts, Cuvilly is farm-based and nature-based. Cuvilly is home to many animal including four dogs, two cats, two pigs, two alpacas, three horses, one pony, one donkey, four sheep, three goats, five roosters, three geese, 10 ducks and 30 chickens. Our care and upkeep requires more money than you'd imagine.

Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast at Waldorf School

Enjoy a pancake breakfast with local maple syrup at Waldorf School at Moraine Farm in Beverly Massachusetts

Waldorf School at Moraine Farm invites families to enjoy a pancake breakfast topped off with maple syrup collected by the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm Science in Nature program and evaporated with our partners at Valley View Farm in Topsfield. This culminating event will be an opportunity to come together in celebration of our second successful maple sugaring season. We will both enjoy the fruits of our labor and learn about the art and science of maple sugaring. This event is open to current parents, prospective parents and their guests.
Cost: $5 per person, maximum $20 per family.
