In addition to the moon (9/14 only) and Saturn well be showing off an assortment of binary and multi-star systems (imagine having 4 suns in your sky!), nebula, clusters, and galaxies, some of which are millions of light years away. Co-hosted with the Lake Gardner Improvement Association. This event is part of Trails & Sails.
Main Street, Downtown Gloucester Massachusetts comes alive when the Street is closed off to allow live music, street performers, kid activities, non-profits, food vendors and more! Many of shops and businesses on Main Street will be open for business and will welcome partygoers. Other Gloucester businesses and non-profits will be represented on the Street as well. come for a night full of Live music, great food, and fun activities with lots of local flavor!

Each week will feature live entertainment on the Riverwalk, making for a fun evening out for the whole family!
Join Historic New England and the North Shore Old Car Club for the Annual Car Meet, where vintage and antique vehicles are displayed on historic Chestnut Street in Salem Massachusetts. stroll down historic Chestnut Street to see vintage and antique vehicles, including Phillips House’s own Model A Ford. Enjoy the first floor of Phillips House and the Carriage House, featuring two Pierce-Arrows and historic carriages free of charge.
Take a walk around beautiful Magnolia and enjoy music around every corner! This year there are more porches, more music, and more fun. Gloucester's Lobster Roller, Meats & Sweets, and Holy Cow Ice Cream are all joining us along the way in addition to Magnolia's 525 restaurant, Grillfriends, and JD Myers. Porches will be swingin' from 4 to 6, and the park by our fire station keeps it going until 8. Bring a beach chair or blanket to sit in the park, or dance by the ocean. Ring in the New Year at noon with North Shore Children’s Museum! You and a special stuffed animal friend are invited to celebrate with us on Tuesday, December 31 from 10AM-12PM. Tickets include access to our 14 different exhibits, a New Year’s Magic Show with special guest Tom Foolery, New Year’s crafts, and dancing. We will end the party with a countdown to noon and ball drop!
What causes the winter solstice, and what does it mean for us? Come to Harold Parker State Forest and discover this most important day of the year to ancient peoples and also to ourselves. Join us for a cup of hot chocolate! We will celebrate the solstice at sunset at exactly 4:14 pm and usher out the shortest day of the year. Dress warmly and wear hiking footwear, bring water with you. We will be taking a short hike prior to the solstice sunset ritual.
Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to Phillips House! Take a photo with Santa and see the elegant Chestnut Street mansion aglow with holiday cheer. Before or after meeting Santa, join us for stories with Mrs. Claus, cookies, cider, and a drop-in Christmas craft workshop, where you can make festive creations to take home and even write your letter to Santa! Craft activities are recommended for families with children ages 4 to 10. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive shortly after 12pm.
